How Bellwood Appliance & Property Services Inc. collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us through this website.

What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:
- Appliance repair bookings: your name, phone number, email address, city or postal code, and details about your appliance and the problem.
- Property management enquiries: your name, phone number, email address, and details about your property, such as its type, number of units and location.
- New construction enquiries: your name, company, phone number, email address and project details.
- General messages: your name, email address and message.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
If you tick a box to receive tips and offers by email or text, we record that choice, the date and the form you used, so we can show we have your consent.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and how often our forms are used. It sets cookies and records information like your approximate location, device and browser, but not your name or contact details. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, to arrange and carry out the work you ask about, to send quotes and invoices, and to keep the business records we're required to keep. We only send marketing emails or texts if you've said yes, by ticking a box on a form or signing up for our newsletter.
Unsubscribing
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP (or ARRET) to any marketing text. You can also use our unsubscribe page or email info@bellwoodgroup.ca. We act on every request within 10 business days, usually much sooner. Unsubscribing doesn't stop us replying to an enquiry you send us.
Who else handles it
A few service providers help us run this website. Each receives only what it needs:
- Web3Forms receives what you type into a form and delivers it to our inbox at info@bellwoodgroup.ca.
- Microsoft 365 hosts our email, where your message is stored.
- Brevo keeps our customer contact list and sends our emails and texts, including your consent choices.
- Google hosts this website (Firebase Hosting) and serves its font (Google Fonts), and Google Analytics measures how the site is used. Our website forms are processed by Google Cloud in Montreal before your details are passed to Brevo. Like any web host, these services see your IP address and basic browser information when you load a page.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to work for up to two years, then delete them. For customers, we keep records such as quotes and invoices for as long as Canadian tax law requires, which is generally six years.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we're not required to keep. Email info@bellwoodgroup.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
